As a child in the '50s and '60s, our favorite Christmas candy was Brach's French creams. As time went on it became harder and harder to find them until eventually they were no longer manufactured. After many years of searching for anothel candy maker I was thrilled to find Oliver's through the Vermont Country catalogue. Now it's a new yearly tradition to place my order here. Thank you, Oliver's!
I haven't had these creams since I was a child growing up in the 50's-60's! We always had them for Easter and Christmas in various shapes. A local candy store in New Castle, PA (Sotus) had them and my brother and I loved them! I can't tell you how happy I am that my daughter got me these for Christmas this year. They are nowhere to be found locally. Thank you so much for a delicious treat and I certainly will have to refill them when they are finished!
I have been looking for this type of candy for over 25 years. The only place you could find this candy was 200 miles away from from me and sold at a Lazarus Department Store in Columbus, OH. So it was a real treat to get. These Fruit Creams melts in your mouth and the taste is heavenly. Originally, I ordered this just for the lime flavor, I thought I'll throw the rest of them in the garbage. But after trying the other flavors, the only thing that was thrown in the garbage was the empty box. I do wish you could order just a box of the Fruit Creams in just one flavor - LIME. (that was the only flavor I'd eat when I was younger) As long as you keep making them, I'll keep buying them. Thank you.
